Create an atmosphere wherein academic and professional excellence and aspirations can coincide with minority interests; moral principles can find their fullest expression through interaction with other individuals of diversity.

Provide a structure and forum through which members can exchange ideas, offer support, and develop programs in the interest of the Urban community.

Disseminate and exchange information regarding minority concerns in the field of Humanity in and around the homeless, sex trafficking, poverty, mental health, LGBT, substance abuse, employment, teenage pregnancy, education, and community issue concerning women challenges.

Raise the level of research awareness that is effecting the Urban community.

Establish a cohesive networking system within the BWEL that may assist members in obtaining temporary and permanent employment.

Empower women of all ages, race, creed, nationality, and ethnicities of that women face in greater Kansas City, and around the world.

The Black Women's Empowerment League wanted to bring forth programs and services that would help women in the Greater Kansas City area. We wanted to empower women in their workplace as well as their homes. These programs and services wil encompass various areas from religion to education to employment, to group counseling on a variety of subject matter, etc… We want to make this outreach support available to all who want better for themselves and their families.
